Not only was he the founding member of pioneering hip hop group GangStarr, but he created history by being the first to merge Hip Hop with Jazz for his Jazzmatazz series. His original style, clever word play and story telling ability, has not only influenced musicians across the globe, it has played a massive part in forming what hip hop is today.
